# Segment Tracker

The Segment Tracker is a section of the [Dashboard](/data-and-engagement-platform/system-monitoring/dashboard.md) that allows you to track changes in the size of your segments over time. Tracking segment size enables you to diagnose sudden changes in segments, identify drops in User Segments early, and better understand how your audiences shift with time.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you do not have access to the Segment Tracker and would like to start using it, please [Reach out to Customer Support](/data-and-engagement-platform/help-and-support/reach-out-to-customer-support.md).
{% endhint %}

You can click the Add Segment button to track more segments. If you wish to stop tracking a Segment, you can remove it from the Segment tracker using the button (x) on the Right side of the Segment name.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Segment tracking is started for a Segment only when it is added to the Segment Tracker. It is not possible to see trends of a Segment before it was added to the Segment Tracker.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you remove a Segment from the Segment Tracker, its history is irrecoverably lost.
{% endhint %}

Currently, you can track up to 10 Segments simultaneously with the basic Segment Tracker. You can also upgrade to the premium version, to track up to 20 Segments simultanuously. If you would like to do so, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

To view the history of a Segment, click the Show Trends button at the bottom of the Section to see how its size has changed. You can also choose the Date Range and the Segments to be displayed on the graph using the filters below the Hide Trends button.
